Dr. Amir Mahajer’s training and education are grounded in the ancient Greek tradition of medicine, where healing was founded on the art of careful observation, hands-on examination, and understanding the person as a whole. Listening to the patient and performing a detailed physical examination form the foundation of the doctor–patient relationship.
That commitment to careful observation and the human touch, combined with the American Osteopathic principles of understanding that the body is a self-healing mechanism, enables Dr. Mahajer to build trust, identify the root cause of pain, and deliver precise, lasting solutions.
Over the past decade, Dr. Mahajer has helped develop and launch Centers of Excellence in Spine and Joint Care across several major hospital systems — including initiating and drafting the Musculoskeletal Center of Excellence at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and previously helping to establish the Spine and Joint Centers of Excellence at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
